tentunya banyak cara atau tips untuk mempercepat kinerja dari windows dari sebuah pc yang performancenya agak kurang ataupun yang menngunakan pc lawas untuk bekerja. kalo belum punya uang yang mau digantikan pc tsb alangkah cocokya dipermak dulu atau dijadikan alat untuk mencoba sesuatu hal yang masih penasaran mengenai seluk beluk dari suatu pc tsb, bisa dijadikan studio music dengan menginstall aplikasi musik biasanya winamp, atau bs juga untuk games, atau bila punya trik coba di praktekkan dulu sapa tau pc jadi kencang mengalahkan si pc jaman core duo sekarang hihi. nah ini salah satu trik mempercepat windows, dari pada pcnya dibuang sayang kan:). ga ada salahnya dicuba.
antara lain triknya yaitu:

mempercepat booting, mempercepat performa swapfile, mendefrag file, dan lain-lain

mendisable service windows yang tidak diperlukan

sebelumnya lakukan back up registry terlebih dahulu dengan cara klick run > regedit > file > export kasih nama backup.reg > ok

untuk mendisablekan service windows yang tidak kita pakai dengan cara klick start > run > ketik "services.msc" > double klick service yang hedak dirubah, ubah start up menjadi "disable".

matikan system restore, system restore bermanfaat jika windows bermasalah, akan tetapi semua restore point yang disimpan bisa memakai ruangan yang cukup besar di harddisk. system restor membebani karena selalu memonitor sistem. dengan mendisable system restore, maka sebahagian resource bisa dialokasikan untuk hal yang lain.

buka control panel. klick performance and maintenance. klick system. klick system restore on all drives > ok.

cara lain adalah menghapus prefect pada windows

letaknya pada dir c:\windows\prefect

dan juga cara lainnya adalah mendefrag, tentunya pasti sudah tau cara nya.

cara lainya adalah mempercepat waktu booting

yaitu : klick start > run > regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Defrg\BootOptimizeFunction

cari enable dibagian kanan regedit

klick modify > pilih "Y" to enable kemudian reeboot

cara lainnya adalah :

mempercepat performa swapfile. jika ram lebih besar dari 256mb bisa dibilang tweaking ini akan membuat system anda berjalan lebih cepat

klcick start > run > msconfig.exe > ok

kemudian klick tab system.ini > klick pada tab 386enh > klick kotak new > kemudian ketik "ConservativeSwapFileUsage=" >ok > kemudian restart

Mencari HTML codes
Pertama - tama kamu bisa buka http://www.oggix.com setelah itu kamu di haruskan untukRegister terlebih dahulu :







Setelah Registrasi selesai kamu bisa Login... setelah kamu login kamu akan langsung masuk ke halaman Control Panel (ada tulisan welcome to oggix.com control panel). lalu kamu ke: How to install shoutbox on my web? lalu kamu pilih yang no 1.



Setelah itu kamu akan masuk ke tahap pertama dari pembuatan kode HTML / Javascript untuk Shoutbox (chatbox) yang sedang kamu buat sekarang ini. dilangkanh pertama ini kamu setting dulu configuration nya yang menurut kamu pas untuk kamu. ( biasanya waktunya udah GMT+7 waktu Indonesia... kalo udah gitu kamu langsung ke next aja).



Setelah kamu Click next kamu akan berada di tahap kedua yaitu memilih Tipe Shoutbox yang akan kamu gunakan, disini ada 4 Tipe Shoutbox (2 Tipe frame shoutbox, 2 tipe full frame) kamu bisa pilih salah satu yang mau kamu gunakan untuk diletakan di blog kamu. (click choose this>> pada pilihan kamu)



Setelah memilih Tipe mana yang mau kamu gunakan, sekarang pada tahap selanjutnya kamu memilih warna, pilihlah yang menurutmu cocok untuk kamu tampilin di blog kamu. ada 10 warna yang bisa kamu jadikan pilihan. (Click choose this>> di pilihan kamu)



Setelah memilih warna pada tahap selanjutnya kamu akan memilih template yang akan di gunakan shoutbox kamu ada beberapa pilihan template yang bisa kamu gunakan untuk shoutbox yang akan di tampilin di blog kamu. (Click choose this>> di pilihan kamu)



Nah ... kalo udah semua, sekarang ini kamu udah sampai pada tahap terakhir. Di tahap terakhir ini kamu hanya tinggal meng-copy HTML codes untuk kamu pasang di blog kamu. Apabila kamu sudah meng-copy HTML codes nya lebih baik kamu paste dulu di notepad (save/simpan dulu di notepad).



Masukan HTML codes ke Blog kamu.
Selanjutnya kamu masukan HTML codes yang kamu dapat itu ke Blog kamu.... kamu click Tata Letak.... lalu click Tambah Gadget.



Lalu Click HTML/Javascript...



Setelah itu kamu Paste HTML codes Shoutbox kamu yang tadi kamu copy... lalu kamu click simpan.



Setelah itu kamu bisa atur letaknya di tata letak (tentunya di bawah tambah gadget yang tadi kamu click, tinggal drag&drop aja). kalo udah jangan lupa kamu click simpan.



Nah sekarang kamu bisa lihat hasilnya di Blog kamu....



Bener kan kata aku.... bukannya gak bisa tapi cuma belom bisa aja kok.....

Konek Internet Dengan HP Motorola L7

Setelah berbulan-bulan gagal konek dengan HP Motorolaku, akhirnya kutemukan jawabannya.. puas deh... pada mulanya sukses juga dengan kartu AS ku, tapi biaya aksesnya menurutku masih terlalu mahal.. 5 rupiah/kb.. herannya dengan kenapa pada waktu aku pake kartu IM3 gagal terus. selalu muncul tulisan error 734. berhari-hari ku coba dial tetep aja gagal.. akhirnya aku tanya sama mbah google apa artinya pesan tersebut. ada jawaban dari salah satu alamat web yang aku lupa mencatatnya, yaitu dengan memberi command modem dengan mengetik (at+cgdcont=1,"ip","indosatgprs"). diberi petunjuk dengan jelas akhirnya aku praktikkan ternyata berhasil.. langsung deh kutulis pengalaman ku pertama kali berinternet ria dengan IM3 di blog ini.

Back Up Your XML Template Widgets

This quick guide will walk you through making a backup copy of your entire XML template. This will also allow you to save the data in your widgets for later re-installation. This guide is NOT for restoring your original template!

This is a very simple procedure and will take less than 2 minutes to do. First step is to navigate to your blogs front page so that you are looking at your actual blog, NOT the control panel pages. Next is to view the source code of the page itself, this can be done in two ways. You can either right click anywhere on the page and click on View Source in the pop up window or look on your browsers control bar and look for the word View. Clicking on that will show a drop down list and one of the selections is Source like in the image below.

Once you click on the word Source another window will open showing the entire contents of your template code like in the image below.
Save Your Code

Click on the word File in the upper left hand corner and go down to the words Save As. Click on that and then another window will pop up. See the red arrow in the image below, that’s where you type in a name for your old template. Name it anything you want and click Save. Navigate to the folder of your choice on your computer so that you’ll know where it is for future reference.. And that’s it, you just saved a copy of your entire template contents to your computer!
Save The File

To retrieve the contents of your widgets, you’ll need to open the file you just saved with Notepad, then look thru the file to pick out the sections you want to copy and paste back into your new template’s widgets. This part may take a bit of patience because there will be a lot of code in there. It may take a few minutes to find the parts you want.

Please note, this file can not be used to restore your original blog template, this is just intended to save the widget contents!

Installing Blogger XML Templates

This short guide will walk you through installing an XML Blogger template from a .txt file on your own computer.

The first thing you do is download the template from the website. If it’s in a .zip file, the next thing you must do is unzip the file, preferably into the same folder that you downloaded it to. This is very simple if you have a file decompressor program installed like Winzip or similar. Here’s a link to some free ones if you don’t have one installed: File Decompressors. Unzipping is easy, normally you can just right click on the file and then select Extract Here.

Once you’ve done that your file will be in a .txt format which can easily be opened in Notepad. It’s not necessary to open the file though, you can use the automated file uploader built into Blogger’s control panel. This makes it extremely easy to install a new template. BUT before you move on to the install you may want to do a complete back up of your template so that you don’t lose your links and buttons. Once you’re satisfied with your backup, go to your blogs’s control panel and click on the Template tab, once that window opens click on the smaller Edit HTML tab just below it. What you’ll see is a page area like in the image below.
Installing Your XML Template

Then just click on the Browse button (arrow in photo above) and navigate to the unzipped file. Once the file name shows in the little window, click Upload. And that’s it! You’ve just changed your template the easy way!

Pada flash disc yang terkena virus biasanya (tidak selalu) terdapat file autorun.info yang di dalamnya terdapat perintah untuk menjalankan program virus. Nah, ketika flash disc tersebut dimasukkan ke drive USB yang fitur autorun-nya tidak di-disable maka secara otomatis Windows akan menjalankan program pada background tanpa adanya konfirmasi kepada user.

Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi resiko terkena virus tersebut adalah dengan mendisable fitur autorun pada drive USB. Ada pun caranya adalah sebagai berikut:

Disable Auto Run pada USB Drive

1. Klik tombol Start - Run.
2. Ketik gpedit.msc dan tekan OK.
3. Klik pada User Configuration - Administrative Templates - System.
4. Klik 2x pada Turn Off Autoplay.
5. Klik pada option Enable.
6. Pada option Turn off Autoplay on, pilih All drives.
7. Klik OK.
8. Selesai.

Selama ini mungkin Anda sering menempatkan shortcut pada Quick Launch. Tetapi akan menjadi suatu “masalah” jika Anda menempatkan terlalu banyak shortcut di sana. Kenapa ? Tentu taskbar Anda akan penuh dengan shortcut-shortcut, dan ini tentunya akan mengurangi keindahan Windows Anda.

Tapi dengan menggunakan True Launch Bar, masalah seperti di atas dapat diatasi. Karena True Launch Bar dapat mengelompokkan shortcut-shortcut tersebut berdasarkan kategori yang Anda inginkan. Misalnya kategori Pemrograman yang berisi shortcut Delphi, C++ Builder, Visual Basic. Kategori Desain Web untuk Dreamweaver, Front Page, GoLive, dsb.

Untuk men-setting True Launch Bar caranya sangat mudah. Pertama download dulu programnya, lalu install. Langkah selanjutnya adalah sebagai berikut:

1. Klik kanan pada area kosong pada taskbar.
2. Pilih Toolbars, lalu klik True Launch Bar.
3. Klik kanan, pilih Create Menu untuk membuat kategori shortcut.
4. Untuk menambahkan shortcut pada kategori yang baru saja Anda buat, klik kanan pd kategori tersebut dan pilih New - Shortcut. Browse ke letak program yang ingin Anda buat shortcutnya.
5. Langkah selanjutnya sama.
6. Untuk informasi yang lebih lengkap Anda dapat membaca pada file help yang disertakan. Help-nya cukup komplit kok :-)
